VISION: “To prepare students to be able to select from a variety of career opportunities and to be successful in the world of work.”
MISSION: “All students will be at or above grade level in reading, writing, and mathematics.”
VESD stands committed to your child’s success now and for their future. A prepared workforce is this community’s #1 priority! To this end, our Victor Elementary Education Foundation is committed to providing a full two-year scholarship for every VESD student who successfully promotes from the sixth grade at one of our elementary schools, and graduates from a high school in the Victor Valley. Scholarships are currently being awarded based on competitive criteria. The Foundation has raised over $250,000 from VESD employees and various contributions from the community and local business leaders. Thanks to their support the foundation is working toward ensuring that higher education is within reach for all children.
Our district team is creating partnerships between elementary and junior high schools with its comprehensive Careers Curriculum and Bridge Program. We are developing a system to provide seamless transition for every child from elementary to high school to their college or career track. Whether a student enters a two-year college, four-year university, trade school, or military career, we want to ensure each child’s skills and talents are directed to achieve their goals.
Our governing board is committed to representing our community, and does an excellent job addressing the community’s needs. The board has worked to ensure safe schools for children, while offering several parent choice schools with specialized programs including the arts, exploration, sports and fitness, music, and business and leadership opportunities. Our recent survey reports 94% of parents in our community support having a choice over the school their child attends.
